Deandra and Ryan bring a shared passion for adventure, hospitality, and excellence to their business, Peak2Palm Properties. Deandra grew up with a love for both mountains and hot summers, spending winters at the ski resort her father managed and summers living full-time on a lake, experiences that fostered her appreciation for the balance between adventure and relaxation—two elements they now strive to deliver in every property they manage. Ryan developed an early interest in skiing, flying, and technology, passions that shaped his unique analytical mindset and talent for problem-solving. These qualities, along with his professional background in data analytics and aviation, have proven invaluable in optimizing their short-term rental (STR) business.
Ryan complements this with his expertise in data analysis and technology, leveraging revenue management tools and market insights to ensure each listing performs at its best. When they're not out travelling the world, they spend winters skiing in the Northern Rockies of British Columbia and the summers at their lake house or golfing. Their shared love of travel, culture, and unique accommodations inspires their work. A recent trip to South East Asia was particularly transformative, motivating them to commit fully to real estate and short-term rental management as a way to combine their entrepreneurial drive with their love for exploration.
Their real estate journey began in 2018 when they purchased their first home in British Columbia. The house required a complete renovation, which they undertook themselves after being dissatisfied with contractors. This hands-on experience taught them the value of precision, perseverance, and hard work. What started as a challenging personal project turned into a highly successful renovation that ignited their passion for real estate. Since then, Deandra and Ryan have expanded their portfolio to include multiple properties, including their first STR, which they transformed from a poorly managed rental into a 5-star, Superhost rated success. Now, they are venturing into the U.S. market to expand their business and take advantage of even greater opportunities.
